Stockton Street Park Groundbreaking Event
THIS EVENT HAS BEEN POSTPONED
Formerly the epicenter of the 2015 Civil Unrest, the Stockton Street Park project aims to bring transformative change to the Penn North neighborhood by creating a safe, accessible green space that invites community reinvestment opportunities. The Stockton Street Park Project involves creating a multifunctional space in the rear of the historic Arch Social Club that will serve as a space to expand their activities outdoors, in addition to a space for the adjacent neighbors to enjoy.
Currently the project is in the beginning stages of design, which will involve community engagement with stakeholders to ensure the success of the project.

Upton Housing and Pocket Parks Ribbon Cutting
Harlem Avenue Park is a transformative community enhancement project designed to infuse new energy into the neighborhood by creating vibrant, multi-use greenspace. In partnership with the Upton Community Association, Parks & People sought to revitalize not just a space once occupied by vacant buildings, but the community itself. Funded by the State of Maryland through the Community Opportunity for Restoration and Enhancement (CORE) initiative and Wells Fargo, this project reflects a shared commitment to neighborhood revitalization.
